Jean Claude Gandur established the Foundation with the idea that art should be accessible to all. His role as collector and patron of the arts reflects a family tradition and the personal conviction that art is part of our heritage, a vector of education and mutual understanding.

Consequently, the Fondation Gandur pour l'Art puts its artworks at the disposal of museums in the form of loans and the organisation of exhibitions. It also supports restoration and heritage preservation projects related to its collections and grants scholarships to deserving students recommended by their school (Swiss universities and Hautes Écoles Spécialisées).
