A mullet, a cutlet, and an odd torpedo-fish…
The Fondation Gandur pour l’Art is custodian of a beautiful fish plate produced in Taranto, around 340 BCE. Adorned with a silent trio composed of a mullet, a cutlet and a torpedo-fish floating on the darkness of the seabed, it stands out with some discreet, but nevertheless tasty, fantasies of painter. Indeed, as you will see, these three guys are less innocent than they seem…
